Karachi and Lahore · Customs licence 22/87
Customs clearance since 1987.
Shafiq Traders is a family firm of customs clearing agents. We have been at the dry port in Lahore since 1987 and on I.I. Chundrigar Road in Karachi since 1992. In that time we have filed more than 30,000 Goods Declarations for over 200 companies, from Pakistan Tobacco and Nishat Mills down to importers bringing in two containers a month.

A few of the names on our register. It runs to more than two hundred, from listed industrial groups to importers who ship a container a month.

What we do
What happens to your consignment.
Most of our clients send the documents over and hear from us again when the truck is at their gate. This is what happens in between.
Documents and the delivery order
We go through the invoice, packing list and bill of lading, and take the delivery order from the shipping line.
Filing the Goods Declaration
We work out the HS classification and the valuation and file the declaration on the Pakistan Single Window.
Assessment and examination
Customs routes the consignment down the green, yellow or red channel. If it is examined, we are at the terminal for it.
Duty and taxes
We work out what is payable, prepare the challans and put the payment through. Receipts come back with the file.
Release and delivery
We settle the port and terminal charges, take the container out through the gate and send it on to your address.
Shipping with us regularly
Your products, HS codes and paperwork stay on file, so each consignment moves faster than the one before it.
What our clients import
Goods we have handled.
Every company on our register, grouped by what they bring in. Solar equipment, heavy machinery, dyes and textiles are where most of our work is, although there is very little that has not come through this office at one time or another.
The register
More than 200 companies.
The list goes back to 1987 and we have kept all of it on the record, from single consignments to accounts we ran every month for years.
